5″ numbers are similar in size to many traditional address numbers and work well on most homes without taking up much space.

For many homes, slightly larger numbers provide better visibility from the street while creating a balanced, well proportioned look on the exterior. Our most popular sizes are 6″ and 8″, offering excellent readability while complementing a wide range of architectural styles.

Vinyl siding is flexible and sits away from the wall behind it, which makes it difficult to securely mount the studs and adhesive.

If your home has vinyl siding, we recommend installing your numbers on a more rigid surface such as wood trim, a fence, a post, or another solid area with good visibility from the street.

However if you're missing a tool or two, we're betting you've got a neighbour or friend that can lend you what you need. Here's the tool list: 1. TAPE MEASURE: To align your drilling template on the mounting surface.

2. LEVEL: To level your drilling template.

3. DRILL: To drill holes for the mounting studs. A hammer drill if drilling into masonry or stone.

4. 3/16 DRILL BIT: This is the size of hole that the mounting studs will fit into. A masonry bit will be required for drilling into concrete or brick. A diamond tipped drill bit may be required for some stone.

5. RUBBER MALLET (Optional): To gently tap the house numbers and studs into the mounting holes.
