A hammer drill if drilling into masonry or stone. 4. 3/16 DRILL BIT: This is the size of hole that the mounting studs will fit into. A masonry bit will be required for drilling into concrete or brick. A diamond tipped drill bit may be required for some stone. 5. RUBBER MALLET (Optional): To gently tap the house numbers and studs into the mounting holes.
